Your child’s first year at Lycée français Jean-Monnet
Your child is starting their first year at Lycée français Jean-Monnet. Here is some useful information to help you prepare for the year ahead.
BEFORE THE START OF THE SCHOOL YEAR
Make your educational choices
You have received confirmation of your child’s enrolment. You can now make your choices regarding languages, options and programmes by logging in via the link sent to you by the Admissions Office.
Attend an induction session
Parents and pupils are invited to a friendly welcome session, giving you the opportunity to meet other families, visit the campus and ask any questions you may have.
You will receive an invitation by email. The dates are also listed in the Back-to-School Calendar, which can be accessed from the homepage of our website.

AT THE START OF THE SCHOOL YEAR AND DURING THE FIRST FEW WEEKS
Receive your child’s school diary
Pupils from CP to CM2 receive a school diary, which is used to keep track of homework and communicate with teachers.
Receive your child’s ID badge
Pupils from 6e onwards are issued with a personalised ID badge bearing their photograph. Badges for new pupils are provided during the first two weeks of the school year. Pupils keep their badge from one year to the next.
The badge is required to:
- enter the school;
- access the school canteen.
For upper secondary pupils, the badge also serves as an electronic wallet for the school canteen and cafeteria.
You can top up your child’s account via Skolengo.
Activate your child’s school email account (from 6e onwards)
All pupils from 6e onwards have a personal school email address:
…@lyceefrancais.be
Your child’s email address and login details will be provided on a personalised paper document given to pupils in class.
Activate your Pronote account and monitor your child’s schooling
Pronote is the main platform for monitoring your child’s academic progress and school life.
You will find, in particular:
- their timetable and, where applicable, information about absences and lateness;
- from collège onwards: homework, marks and results.
At the start of the school year, you will receive your login details by email.
Please note: from collège onwards, pupils and parents each have their own personal login details, giving access to different information.
Your child’s pupil login details will be provided on a personalised paper document distributed in class.
Please keep these login details safe: they will remain valid throughout your child’s time at LFJM.
For any questions relating to Pronote from 6e onwards, please contact valerie.charluteau@lyceefrancais.be.
Register your child for certain services and activities via the Skolengo platform
You can use Skolengo to:
- register your child for childcare, supervised study, and additional activities and classes;
- choose a school meal arrangement: no school meals, hot meal or packed lunch;
- top up your secondary-school child’s account to pay for meals at the school canteen.
Lunch at school
During the first two weeks of the school year, if your child has not yet received their ID badge, they can access the school canteen simply by giving their name and class.
The cost of meals taken at school will appear on your first invoice.
ACCESS VIA THE VERREWINKEL STREET GATE
Access via Verrewinkel Street is reserved for families who live in the immediate vicinity. You can submit your request for access, together with proof of address, to joel.delagdo@lyceefrancais.be.
We look forward to welcoming you to Lycée français Jean-Monnet!
